Curtis R. Joseph, Jr. serves as Director at Blanchard Walker. Mr. Joseph handles defense as well as plaintiff-oriented litigation. He attended Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 1993, and his Juris Doctorate in 1996. While at W&L, he performed clinical work, focusing on post-conviction relief with the inmates of the Federal Women¹s Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia. He taught Language Arts, Social Studies and Religion at Bishop Perry Middle School in New Orleans. Mr. Joseph is a founding member of Washington & Lee's chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Louisiana State Bar Association Board of Governors (District 8 Representative); Shreveport Bar Association Past President; Board Member, Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors; Biomedical Research Foundation Board of Directors; Strategic Action Council Past Chairman; Shreveport/Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission Past Vice-Chairman; Committee of One Hundred Board member and Chair of the Community Relations Committee; Rotary Club of Shreveport Past Board member; North Louisiana Jewish Federation Past President; and Past Chair of the North Louisiana Holocaust Remembrance Service. Mr. Joseph is also a devoted husband and father as well as a local jazz/blues drummer.
