Legal Education Assistance Program (LEAP)

For the past 6 years, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Library Association have hosted “Lawyers in Libraries” events during National Celebrate Pro Bono Week. This year, given COVID-19, we will be hosting “Lawyers AND Libraries” virtual events to provide virtual access to individuals who may be in even more need of legal direction due to the current health crisis. Virtual events will take place October 26-31, 2020. During this week, LSBA members will virtually provide free, limited services to the public with the help of local libraries statewide. Attorneys may virtually conduct educational presentations and conversations on relevant legal topics (i.e. divorce, successions) or remotely answer questions on civil issues for participants across Louisiana.
