For the past 6 years, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Library Association have hosted “Lawyers in Libraries” events during National Celebrate Pro Bono Week. This year, given COVID-19, we will be hosting “Lawyers AND Libraries” virtually to provide access to individuals who may be in even more need of legal assistance due to the current health crisis.

Virtual events will take place October 26-31, 2020, designated by the governor as Pro Bono Week in the state of Louisiana. During this week, LSBA members will provide free, limited services to the public with the help of local libraries statewide. Attorneys and patrons can expect:
  • Brief, one-on-one "Ask-a-Lawyer" sessions held via phone and videoconference
  • Webinars broadcast statewide on basic legal topics particularly relevant during these times.
Sign up for a time slot through the button above. For more information, view the sections labeled: "For Public," "For Lawyers," and "For Librarians."
