ATJ Commission Position: Louisiana Law Schools Faculty Representative (SULC)

Professor Virginia Listach is the Clinical Director of the Southern University Law Clinic and supervises the clinic’s Administrative/Family/Civil Law section at Southern University Law Center.  She also teaches Trial Advocacy, coordinates numerous skills training workshops for students and public law attorneys, serves as the advisor to the SULC Moot Court Board and supervises and teaches the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project course.  Prof. Listach received her B.A. from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from Southern University Law Center.  Before joining SULC in August 1997, Listach was the Assistant Director and Administrative Law Judge Supervisor of the Bureau of Appeals of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. From 1988 through 1992 she served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice.

Professor Listach is the chair of the ATJ Commission’s Modest Means Committee, which manages the Modest Means Directory of attorneys and aims to serve Louisianans of limited means who do not qualify for civil legal aid.
