LIFT launches new collaborative incubator project in Baton Rouge

The LSBA’s Legal Incubator Program, LIFT, is now accepting applications for a new collaborative project called the Flood Proof Project in Baton Rouge. The purpose of the Project is to increase access to civil legal help for low-income disaster victims to resolve heir property problems and home ownership disputes in the wake of Louisiana’s catastrophic flooding in August 2016.

LIFT Accepting Applications for SLLS and New Orleans FJC Project

Applications will be accepted until Feb. 20, 2018 for the LSBA LIFT Program’s (Legal Innovators for Tomorrow) collaborative project at the New Orleans Family Justice Center. Louisiana licensed attorneys with zero-five years’ practice experience who plan to develop or have begun to develop a solo or small law practice and are committed to representing survivors of domestic violence are encouraged to apply.

LSBA Access to Justice Learns from the Best and Brightest at 4th Annual Incubator Conference

The conference was held at Texas A & M University School of Law and brought together incuabtor directors and participants from all across the country. LIFT Accepting Applications for Re-Entry Court Collaborative Lawyering Project

The LSBA’s LIFT Incubator and Accelerator Program is working with organizations to reduce collateral consequences, faced by citizens convicted of an offense, through entrepreneurial lawyering. This project is in partnership with Justice and Accountability Center of Louisiana. Attorneys interested in applying should have 0-5 years practice experience and be based in the Greater New Orleans area. Application deadline is April 7th.
