Post-Conviction Project

In partnership with Justice and Accountability Center of Louisiana (JAC), the LIFT Post-Conviction Project works to reduce legal barriers faced by citizens who were formerly incarcerated. Through this work, attorneys contribute to reducing crime, reducing recidivism, and increasing public safety. To accomplish this goal, LIFT collaborates with JAC on three incubator projects: Re-Entry Collaborative Lawyering Project, Expungement Project, and Juvenile Re-Entry Assistance Project (JRAP).
