Disability and Elder Law Project
LIFT is now accepting applications for the Disability and Elder Law Project which is in partnership with Disability Rights Louisiana (DRLA).
The Project helps solo practitioners build public interest-focused practices, while delivering legal services to people with disabilities and the elderly. Attorneys receive case referrals and mentorship from experienced DRLA lawyers and access to legal research tools, CLEs, networking, and business development training. Case types may include interdiction defense, power of attorney, supported decision making, healthcare proxy, special needs trusts, Medicare/Medicaid appeals, special education, vocational rehabilitation, and disability-related employment matters.
