Rules of Professional Conduct
Pursuant to Article 5, Section 5 of the Louisiana State Constitution, the Louisiana Supreme Court has original jurisdiction over the practice of law, and with its inherent and plenary authority, has created the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board as well as adopted the Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct.
The Rules of Professional Conduct are separated into (8) distinct sections although there is some overlap as to the subject matter of the Rules.
