  • 2019 Criminal Justice Summit on Mental Health 
    On April 26, 2019, criminal justice system stakeholders and mental health advocates came together to discuss the prevalence of people suffering from mental health conditions ending up in the criminal justice system. The attendees participated in interactive working group discussions in which a number of recommendations were made to address mental health needs. A summary of the event is available here. 
 
  • Justice Reinvestment Task Force Recommendations CLE 
    Join members of the Justice Reinvestment Task Force for a discussion on their Recommendations recently released in a report. The purpose of this event is to bring together criminal law practitioners whose work and clients will be impacted by these recommendations, if enacted into law, with the Task Force members, for an informative discussion. 
 
  • Criminal Justice Summit2016 LSBA Criminal Justice Summit
    The first Louisiana Criminal Justice Summit was convened by the LSBA's Criminal Justice Committee to help address the ongoing challenges faced by those working in Louisiana's criminal justice system. As the state faces serious budgeting challenges, this summit will be again convened to address several ongoing issues in the criminal justice system.
