Appellate Practice



Appellate Practice CLE in Brief

Year of Application - Each applicant is required to obtain by December 31 of the year of application a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of approved appellate law continuing legal education. CLE earned in prior years may not be used to satisfy the fifteen (15) hour requirement.

During the year of certification a Board Certified Appellate Practice Specialist must attend a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of approved appellate continuing legal education programs. Following certification, CLE carry forward of eight (8) hours of approved appellate practice continuing legal education will be permitted.

ALL CLE MUST HAVE THE APPROVAL OF THE MCLE DEPARTMENT TO QUALIFY FOR SPECIALIZATION CREDIT, MUST HAVE THE APPROVAL OF THE APPELLATE PRACTICE CLE COMMITTEE and MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE RECORDS MAINTAINED BY THE MCLE DEPARTMENT.
